Join me for a relaxing, creative session where you'll craft a beautiful garden bird, kingfisher, hummingbird or sandpiper on 15cm paper, using a mix of paint and meaningful collage elements. Whether it’s for yourself or a thoughtful gift, you’ll create something truly special.
 
I’ll gently guide you every step of the way, with patience and encouragement, teaching you the skills needed to bring your project to life. By the end, you’ll have a stunning piece of art you’ll be proud to display.
 

We’ll set the mood with a warm pot of tea, plate of biscuits and the soothing sounds of slow jazz. 

Together, we’ll take it one step at a time—choosing the right brush, practicing simple yet effective stroke and carefully layering colours and ephemera to build your bird. 
 
When it’s time to add the collage elements, I'll let you delve into a selection of vintage books, maps, dress patterns, old letters and handmade paper to mindfully select pieces that make your creation uniquely yours.
 
All materials are provided, but feel free to bring any personal items you’d like to incorporate for an extra sentimental touch. Let’s make something beautiful, relaxing, and filled with meaning!
 
No prior art experience or 'artistic talent' necessary. These are easy to create even for those who ‘are no good at painting’… which I hear a lot!
 
Please note: the class requires a minimum of 6 bookings to run. If this isn't met, I reserve the right to reschedule or cancel and you will receive a full refund for cancelled classes.

Learning a new skill

Charlotte is very engaging, guiding us through each stage with simple explanations and painting techniques to practice before putting them altogether to create an Ephemera bird. She made the 2 hours very relaxing for myself and my friend. I am really pleased with my Love Bird Parrots picture. Thank you Charlotte

Ephemera Bird

Charlotte led the workshop with charm and reassurance throughout. Explaining each stage of the process and offering help as needed, we each completed our ephemera bird. I found the class colourful and relaxing, and liked what I made.
