Shrove Tuesday is the day many of us like to celebrate as Pancake Day. If you have little ones, pancake breakfast can be quite a treat! Using just a little imagination, kids can make pancakes faces using fruit slices as noses, eyes, mouths and antennae.
So pop on your apron and prep the table with bowls of freshly washed & chopped soft fruit like strawberries, blueberries, bananas and raspberries. Offer a little sugar, syrup or chocolate spread to sweeten them up with. Keep a bowl of soapy water and flannels close by to keep stickiness at bay and serve them up with some fresh fruit juice. Mmmmmm... delicious!
Here are three of our favourite pancake recipes to try.
Simply blitz the ingredients and pour the batter in batches into a hot, lightly buttered frying pan. Flip or turn the pancakes once golden on the underside. Serve immediately or keep your pancake stack warm in the oven until you've finished making the batch. Please keep children and babies away from the hot stove to avoid getting burnt and never leave a frying pan unattended.
